With time being of the essence in processing frozen specimens, this cryostat comes equipped with an actively cooled quick freezing shelf featuring a defrost function and a robust refrigeration system to deliver speedy outcomes. The specimen can be quickly clamped and oriented using the user-friendly orientation system, ensuring rapid preparation and high-quality sections.

For efficient trimming, the cryostat includes a motorized coarse feed. Its quick-freezing shelf, cooled to -45º C and equipped with a heat extractor, facilitates exceptionally rapid freezing of specimens. Additionally, a manual defrost cycle is available for activation as needed. The cryochamber, well-lit and insulated, is designed for easy access via a heated sliding window, providing ample space for convenient handling of specimens.

For added safety during the exchange of specimens or knives, the Leica CM1510 Cryostat features a handwheel that smoothly operates and can be locked in the upper position to prevent injuries.
